Stay safe. Enjoy your holiday

One off the biggest questions asked by people planning to travel abroad is, is it safe?

Salou, Cambrils and La Pineda, while being among the safest and freindly destinations, it is always wise to be cautious. When in crowded places such as airports, markets, shopping centres etc there will always be an element of risk. These are the type of areas targeted by pickpockets and thieves. This applies to all destinations home and abroad.

Beware thievesDon't get disteacted, distraction theft is one of the most common ways to fall victim to crime. Even if someone appears to be being helpful and friendly you can soon let down your guard and become a victim. If using cash machines do not go alone, go in daylight and preferebly in an open area. Be aware of people hangin around close by.

When out and about take only the things you need, the less you carry the less you have to look after. If you don't need it with you make sure you lock it away, make use of hotel safes and keep valuable out of site.

Don't carry large amounts of money, when ordering foreign currency ask for smaller denominations at home you would be unlikely to go and buy an ice-cream with a £50.00 note, so why use a €50.;00 note to do the same while on holiday.

Rather take large amounts of currency on holiday or using your noram bank credit and debit cards, think about using one of the pre-paid debit cards, they are widely accepted and can be loaded up with just the money you need for your holiday. They can help with budgeting and keep your day to day bank accounts safe at home opr locked away.
