Catalonian Parliament has voted for the ban on Bllfighting in Catalonia. The ban starting in 2012 is the first such ban on bullfighting in mainland Spain.

10/07/2010 - Airlines fail to refund taxes
Airlines are accused of keeping millions of pounds for themselves, money that shuld be refunded to the customer. Anyone who books a flight then fails to fly should be able to reclaim the tax part of the money paid to the airline. The problem, reclaiming the tax incurs charges that amount to more than the money being reclaimed. Once again its again a lose/lose situation for the consumer. 02/07/2010 - Bikini ban could cost you £250
BBC breakfast news and also many newspapers have reported the 'Bikini Ban'. Salou's attempt to clean up its image have imposed a ban on scantily clad tourists, banning tourist giong shirtless or wearing bikinis in the main street away frm the beach, the ban also applies to public buildings, restaurants, cafes and shops etc. The mayor Pere Granados, explained it wanted Salou to have a good image. So what will it cost you if you are caught flouting the ban? The new by-laws passed by the town council could mean a fine of up to €300 about £250 being imposed.
01/07/2010 - Ryanair up baggage fees
From today Ryanair passengers will have to pay out more for baggage charges during the peak months of July and August. The new peak season prices for checked in luggage mean passengers checking in one piece of luggage of 15kg or under must pay £20, and £40 if paid at the airport.
A second check in bag will cost you £40 if paid for online with your booking. If you go over your baggage weight limit you will be faced with a £20 per kg excess fee.
30/06/2010 - Reus Airport sees more flights
Reported in the Diari de Tarragona. Reus airport is set to see 322 flight from the UK & Ireland in the first week of July. Last year the same period saw 246 flights in Reus airport.
