Family Holidays to Salou
The popular family resort of Salou is situated on the golden sunshine coast of the Costa Dorada, around an hours drive from Barcelona and just a couple of hours flight time from the UK. With safe golden beaches stretching for miles and a warm welcome to match the warm mediterranean climate, you can be sure your family holiday in Salou will be great for both adults and kids. The main airport used for Salou from the UK is Reus which is just 15 minutes away by taxi. Reus is served by low cost airlines and also major tour operators. The other alternatives are the Barcelona airports, although these do have longer transfer times.

The main road has frequent buses that offer a cheap way of getting to the other nearby resorts of Cambrils and La Pineda, as well as Spain premier theme park resort PortAventura. There is also the road train 'Trenet' which is a favourtie of kids for getting about Salou. PortAventura, is a must do attractions, booking your tickets for PortAvetura before you go saves you money. Barcelona is also accessible easily from Salou by either train or coach services, travel time is around two hours.Salou boasts many cafes, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and are child friendly, a wide variety of international foods are available and most restaurants offers childrens menus. A trip to Cambrils by bus or by boat allows you to experience some excellent seafood restaurants overlooking the marina and the contrast between the two resorts makes a relaxing change.

For the self catering option there are plenty of small well stocked Supermarkets throughout Salou that also stock a wide range of familiar British items.
