Flights to Salou (Reus) and Barcelona
The nearest airport to Salou and PortAventura is Reus Airport. With Reus being around 15km away from Salou transfer times remain short. The airport is a small regional airport although some expansion has been made in recent years. Services at the airport are basic with a couple cafe type snack bars, two small shops and the usual car hire. Clearing the airport after landing is usually pretty quick and with little hassle. Reus airport is served by low cost airlines and also bymany packaged holiday flights and also some internal flights with Iberia. It is also worth
noting that low cost flights can also now be booked along with your choice of accommodation and transfers if required with both Sunshine.co.uk and Alpharooms.The alternative to Reus aiport is Barcelona or Girona Airports, although considerably further away than Reus, Barcelona is served by more airlines and has good rail and road links to Salou with travel time of around two hours.
The flight time to Reus from the London airports is quick usually between 1.5 to 2 hours. Depending on the time of day and how many other flights are being dealt with at Reus, the time to clear the airport is one of the best, and I usually find I can be in the resort of Salou itself in under an hour after landing. For those that have hired cars 
or with to hire cars the various hire car companies can be found within the main airport building.
Right outside the main airport doors you will find the taxi's, buses and coaches which seem to be in plentiful supply. There is a bus service to the city of Reus, after the shortish trip, the bus drops you at the main Reus bus terminal where there are ongoing buses to Salou, please be warned there can be a lengthy wait for a bus at the bus terminal in Reus which may be troublesome with children. It also has to be said that the Reus bus terminal is not the nicest of looking places, although the last time I was there, there was work going on updating the bus terminal.
