January and February are the coldest months, with average temperatures of about 10 °C, the midsummer months of July and August are the hottest months, averaging temperatures of 30 °C.
Barcelona makes an excellent choice for a city break at any time of year, whether a romantic Valentines weekend, chirstmas shopping break, or just a break to catch some of that Mediterranean sunshine.
Barcelona is easy to reach from Salou, Cambrils and La Pineda with regular coach and train services and travel times between 1.5 to 2 hours. Check the bus station and the Plana bus ticket booths for further information on the excursions and tours that they run.
