One of the biggest problems when you hoiday abroad is how do I get to the airport? do I go by bus or train? or do I drive to the airport and park. Although there are usually good bus, Coach and train services for airports, being able to drive yourself makes it easier than carting luggage around with you and avoids the problem of finding a public transport service that ties in with your travel plans.
Most airports have various parking options for long stay and short stay, as well as other operators who offer parking away from the airport and then provide a shuttle to the airport itself. The offsite option tend to be cheaper than 'On-Airport' parking with the downside in increasing your travel time, although that is not always the case.
Some operators offer other services such as car valet when your away or private transfer and 'Meet and Greet' services from the carpark to the terminal. Pre-booking is a must for airport parking and many discounts can be had if you book early.
A word of warning, do not park at short stay car parks at the airports, it may seem the easy option but anything more thana few hours will cost you dearly. If you realy want to relax before your holiday flight why not stay overnight at an airport hotel, this breaks the travelling time and helps making the journey less tiresome. Most airport parking operators also offer hotel options.
